Custom-made suits for men and women from Mr James in Los Angeles. It starts with a free one-hour consultation, around thirty measurements, and a pattern drawn for you alone. How it works

From first fitting to finished suit

Six steps, one tailor, no surprises. Most suits are ready in four to twelve weeks.

  1. Free consultation

    One hour, no charge

    In the shop or at your home or office. We talk about what you need, how you dress, and what the suit has to do for you.

  2. Cloth and details

    Same visit

    Choose from house cloths or mills like Zegna, Holland & Sherry and Loro Piana, with prices in front of you. Lapels, lining, buttons, monogram.

  3. Measurements and pattern

    Around thirty measurements

    Robb or Ben takes the measurements and notes your posture and stance. A pattern is drawn for you alone and kept on file.

  4. Cut and made by hand

    4 to 12 weeks, depending on the cloth

    Your pattern goes to our atelier in Southern Brittany, where the suit is cut and sewn with a full floating canvas.

  5. Fittings

    Unlimited

    We fit the suit on you and adjust until it is right. There is no limit on fittings and no charge for them.

  6. Delivery

    Collect or delivered

    Collect in Playa del Rey or we deliver. Your pattern stays on file, so the next suit is faster.
